Zach grew up in suburbs of St. Louis. He is a graduate of Illinois College (B.A. Religion, 2009) in Jacksonville, IL, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (M.Div, 2012) in South Hamilton, MA. Although Zach has served Edgington EPC in various capacities since 2009, it wasn't until 2012 when he began to serve as full-time pulpit supply, followed by his full ordination in 2014. Zach loves spending time with his wife, Mackenzie, and enjoys reading theology, playing golf, being out in the community, and cheering for Notre Dame football and the local Rockridge Rockets.

Lisa Bowman, Office Manager

Lisa Bowman grew up in Andalusia, IL. She has worked for Edgington EPC as the office manager since October of 2014.

She loves spending time with her family. She's been married to her high school sweetheart, Matt Bowman since 1990. They have two daughters, a son-in-law, and two grand-daughters, with another baby on the way.

When she has time she also enjoys reading, baking, volunteering, exercising, and a host of other things she doesn't have time for.

Lori grew up on a farm in small town Iowa, and began playing piano and singing hymns in church at the age of nine. Always a music enthusiast, she studied vocal and instrumental music through high school and college, and enjoys teaching, directing, singing, and playing a variety of instruments. In the past Lori has volunteered as a director for Rockridge High School Treble Madrigal group and accompanying for solo/ensemble events. She is a ukulele lady, and plays at many outings as a member of the Quad City Ukulele Club. Lori has actively served the Quad City Emmaus and Chrysalis communities and area churches for the past 25 years, and continues to serve where the Lord leads.
Lori and her husband, Tony, live on a small acreage outside Reynolds, Illinois. Lori and Tony have three daughters and nine grandchildren, and enjoy spending time with family, horseback riding, and working their small acreage.

The Session

Edgington EPC follows the New Testament pattern of government by a Session of Elders. These leaders are elected by the congregation and meet rigid spiritual requirements set forth in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. They assume full spiritual authority for the congregation and "shepherd the flock of God" (1 Peter 5:2). The Session is composed of Ruling Elders (congregation members) and Teaching Elders (ordained minsters).

Our Ruling Elders:

Steve Morrison (Clerk), Tara Johnson, Kevin Oak, Mic Penry, Patrick Shovar, and Keith Wilson

The Board of Deacons

In Acts 6, the Apostles instructed the Church to select servants of good character, full of the Spirit and wisdom, to provide for the physical needs of the congregation. Under the supervision of the Session, the Deacons minister to the church according to the physical needs of its people. They are the caretakers of the people of God.

Our Deacons:

Amy Oak (Chair), Beth Flickinger (Secretary), Scott and Cindy Cullen, Norman and Janet Dunlap, Cora Schafman, and Peggy Shovar

The Board of Trustees

Trustees are the caretakers and stewards of the resources of the people of God. Under the supervision of the Session, the Trustees administer the business and financial affairs of the congregation, as well as the maintenance and management of the church property.

Our Trustees:

Mel Block (Chair), Larry Pithan (Secretary), Ken Benningfield, Phil Fuhr, Scott Nelson, Nathan Oak, Jeff Schmidt, Chris Stark, and Jeff Thomas
